Green Koala Opens New Studio and Manufacturing Facility in Pembroke

Eco-friendly company offers safe, all-natural, organic body care and home fragrance products

Pembroke, Mass. (April 19, 2018) – Green Koala, an eco-friendly company offering safe, handmade, all-natural body care and home fragrance products, is excited to announce the opening of its new studio and manufacturing facility at 90 Corporate Park Drive, Unit 1440 in Pembroke, Massachusetts. A Grand Opening celebration will be held on Saturday, April 28 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Patrons are welcome to stop by to try the organic body butters, lotions, and lip care, explore the subtle scents of the non-toxic candles and diffusers, and enter to win a premier $75 gift set of their choice. 

Paula Keif of Marshfield launched Green Koala in 2010 after noticing how many products in her house contained toxic chemicals and fillers. “I knew we could offer something better and I wanted to help others make more informed choices about the products we use every day, such as soaps, lip balms, lotions and candles,” Keif said. “With Green Koala, I wanted to create a brand that would represent high-quality, safe products. Even as our business continues to expand and thrive, I’m proud that we are still committed to that vision.” 

Keif originally started selling Green Koala products at local shows and farmers markets, but the business grew quickly. Local shops and boutiques started selling the products. Then, in the spring of 2017, Christmas Tree Shops contacted Keif to develop a corporate partnership. Today, Green Koala soy candles are sold at Christmas Tree Shops in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine.

“All Green Koala products are handmade in small batches, and we originally made them in my energy-efficient, home-based manufacturing facility,” said Keif, who now runs the business with her husband Chris. “But as our business continued to grow, so did our need for space for both manufacturing and sales. After reviewing all local options for current and future needs, we found our new home in the Pembroke Corporate Park. We are happy to be among other great local businesses in Pembroke. Best of all: every product is still handmade in small batches using eco-friendly processes.”

After the grand opening, the Green Koala studio will be open every Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Customers are also welcome to make appointments on other days to shop, sample the natural and organic body butters, lotions, and lip care, and explore the subtle scents of the non-toxic candles and diffusers.
