This simple DIY candle making kit includes the supplies needed to create a 9 oz eco-luxury candle, including:

  • clear instructions
  • 9 oz glass jar
  • 3 candle wax discs
  • 1 cotton wick with a sticky
  • 1 popsicle stick with a hole
  • candle labels
  • high-quality essential and phthalate-free fragrance oils

All you need to create your candle is a microwave, microwave-safe dish, spoon, wax paper, scissors, and thermometer (optional).

To make your candle, follow these simple steps:

  1. Wipe the candle jar with a cloth to clean and remove any dust.
  2. Remove paper from the sticky on the bottom of the wick.
  3. Place the wick in the center of the candle jar and press with 2 fingers to secure.
  4. Thread the popsicle stick with the wick.
  5. Place candle jar on wax paper to help with any spillage.
  6. Place the 3 wax discs in glass measuring cup.
  7. Melt wax in microwave for 1 minute.
  8. Remove measuring cup carefully and stir with spoon.
  9. Repeat 2-3 times until wax is melted. Make sure wax does not come to a boil or is overheated. Optional: Place a thermometer in the glass measuring cup. The ideal temperature is 180°.
  10. Pour fragrance oil into the glass measuring cup and stir for 60 seconds with spoon.
  11. Recenter the wick and bend wick to secure popsicle stick. Do not move the jar until wax is hardened.
  12. Trim wick with scissors to ¼“ in length. Do not trim too short.
  13. Design label and place on outside of the candle jar.
  14. Cure candle for 48 hours before burning.

Are you ready to make a new candle or reuse your candle jar? Clean your candle jar by following these simple steps:

  1. Burn candle until ¼“ wax remains.
  2. Use a spoon to remove wax and wick.
  3. Remove the label from the candle jar.
  4. Heat candle jar in the microwave for up to 15 seconds to melt remaining wax.
  5. Use a paper towel to clean out the jar.
  6. Wash with soap and water or place jar in the dishwasher to clean.
  7. Reuse candle jar.
